Ettore Bugatti’s Brescia was a true super-sports car, factory warranted to exceed 70MPH. The Bugatti plant in Molsheim produced about 200 of its Brescia model in 1923, virtually all of them Types 22 and 23.

Very few Brescias retain their original bodywork as it was never intended to last more than a dozen years. Thus chassis 1709 with its original engine 137 and original Lavocat et Marsaud bodywork is rare indeed. The very sporting body of the car is itself unusual and ahead of its time.
